1. Boom barriers at entry and exit gates proposed to be installed. Refer the diagram shown below
A. 18 feet boom barrier x 2 + 4 plastic fence barricade
+ 12 feet jaali structure / pedestrians only entry, to close gap in the wall on the slope to TT basement parking
* Exact location specifics be shared by TT MC , knowing they have exit from basement parking and how they may want to secure it
B. 16 feet boom barrier x 2 + 4 plastic fence barricade
* Foot paths will be kept clear for pedestrians
2. The boom barrier A can have 1 TT guard and 1 SV guard
The boom barrier B can have 1 SOJ guard and 1 SV guard
Main gate will have 1 extra guard for flood gating, traffic / crowd control, tanker monitoring etc
3. Both boom barriers shall have all 3 society mygate terminals
Can be changed depending on observations in first few months
There will be average wait time of 10-13 seconds for a resident vehicle and 25-30 seconds for a visitor vehicle.
Note: mygate integration of GV is not recommended , because that would lead to a very noisy app notification experience on residents' phones
4. All GV resident vehicles must have their respective society sticker and must be registered against their flat in mygate
5. Every resident vehicle with SOJ , TT, SV sticker shall be let in after entry/exit record in mygate
Every visitor vehicle must follow approval routine in mygate and will be asked to wait aside until gate pass approval is sought
Entry of SOJ resident vehicles (with sticker) from boom barrier A be discouraged, but will be allowed
Entry of SOJ visitor vehicle (without sticker) from boom barrier A will not be allowed
* Other societies may suggest their rules
6. Entry of walkin visitors, maids, househelp will happen at boom barriers, same as #3
*and also at P1 level for all SOJ buildings
7. All cabs / rickshaws / non-sticker vehicles which have a resident traveling in it , must be entered as visitor entry in mygate with vehicle number and photo of the driver
Type of boom barriers
1. Manual - GI fabricated, manually operated, pull up down
2. Electrical, button operated - barrier opens by press of a button by the guard
3. RFID access card operated - driver of car must roll down window, swipe to enter, guards will do this for visitor vehicles, new cards be issued mapped to each vehicle by number
4. Fully automatic system by mygate
** 2 and 3 - are plastic / aluminium barriers and can be broken through without damage to trespassing vehicles
** 1 is a stronger barrier and can cause vehicle wind shield to break in an attempt of trespassing , an erring driver will think twice before barging into boom barrier #1
* Need for CCTV must be discussed at both boom barrier points - boom barrier A, can be connected to TT CCTV circuit, boom barrier B can be connected to SOJ B1 CCTV circuit
* There are more fully automated options, like fasttag reader, remote control operated boom barriers etc - but these are very costly and surpasses necessity
SOJ specific:
- 4 guards on each p1 level - to monitor all non-resident entries
- 4 mygate phones on each p1
- p2 p3 always shut with access control + use for all residents only , visitor entry via p1 only
- remove 2 speed breakers on main road , keep 2 , sufficient
- relocate 1 speed break before and after boom barrier like usual toll booth practice
- get road divider, plastic barrier for easier traffic control at boom barrier, similar to one at TT entrance
- vehicle stickers mandatory, mygate registration mandatory

Quotation 3.2
RFID based solution was sought from Ujjwal systems as well
- but they said they dont recommend it for housing society where non-card holder footfall is also high
- as such a complete comprehensive integrated security solution might be needed to capture all data
Quotation 4.1
ANPR system by mygate scans car numbers and automatically open barrier for those numbers which are registered on mygate
Those vehicles which are not registered on mygate, will have to be entered as visitors by the stationed guards
note that this puts onus on data accuracy and scrutiny, such that the MC will have to review all vehicles data properly added by their residents into mygate
ANPR system has a tech cost and an ongoing OPEX, subscription models of which are outlined in mygate quotation
Opinion: The startup cost is very high in comparison to the necessity we have in GV - open to discussion
