SPOTTING A SNAKE / SNAKE BITE

• 1. Please inform your kids to stay away when they spot a snake and not to throw stones etc to provoke.

  2. To inform an adult when they spot one.

  3. For adults, not to panic, most snakes are likely to be non poisonous.

  4. In case of a bite, to remove all clothing, jewellery etc of the area.

  5. Most bites will get away with a tetanus shot and wound dressing.

  6. Observe for few mins, in case of blurring vision, difficulty in breathing or unconsciousness hospitalisation is mandatory.

  7. Don't: do not suck on the wound to draw venom out, it's only good for bollywood movies.
