Code of Conduct & Responsibilities of SONG OF JOY Residents
A housing society is recognized by the code of conduct its members and the care that residents take of their abode. Song of Joy is deemed to be a premium property grounded in its novelty as a “Child Centric” home. It is thus incumbent on the members of the SOJ residents’ society that this reputation be maintained and we provide a safe, conducive and unencumbered environment for our children, elders and families to thrive. Safety, hygiene and a pollution-free environment that ensures our good health and overall well-being is paramount.
There are many privileges and amenities we enjoy being a part of SOJ - a scenic park, gazebo, swimming pools, spacious lobbies and ample parking space. But with these kind of facilities, there is a great responsibility entrusted on us, of ensuring that we maintain the quality, integrity and tranquility of our esteemed property. A few best practices and a bit of effort on our part can go a long way in creating and maintaining a benchmark in residential complexes.
Let’s resolve and pledge to fulfill the following responsibilities as part of the Song of Joy Residents Society;
1. Maintain a cordial demeanor and decorum with neighbors, personnel of SOJ and other helpers
2. Do not throw any garbage or water from your balcony or window – use household dustbins only
3. Do not spit and do stop others from spitting in the entire campus
4. Do not litter in the campus, common areas, use the dustbins
5. Do not flush any garbage, household waste (sanitary napkins, condoms, plastic or paper waste) into the commode – for waste paints, add water to remains and use the terrace drain
6. Do not smoke in common areas (lobby, lift, park, parking etc.) – use ash trays, dispose butts into garbage bin after extinguishing it completely, don’t throw them off open balcony or window
7. Ensure that plant pots are not kept on the edge of the balcony which can fall off with strong winds
8. Keep REFUGE AREA empty at all times - do not store anything, or keep pot and plants in that area - this area is to be used in contingency purposes and should be accessible freely at all times
9. Switch off the fan while stepping out of the lift . Keep lifts clean, off footprints on lift panel walls
10. Educate children, elderly citizens, domestic helpers on the protocol to be followed in situations of emergency when using lifts
11. Avoid holding lift for more than 15 seconds, unless necessary viz. shifting furniture, plants, heavy objects; inform security in such cases – for any material shifting use service elevator
12. No loud sounds – including music, construction and other noise after 8 pm - be considerate towards neighboring residents knowing that we live in a housing complex, which is child centric, and not independent units or bungalows.
Despite written warning if the situation remains unchanged a FIR will be lodged on next immediate instance. A monetary fine upto Rs 5,000 will also be charged to the owner on every incident of non-compliance.
13. Drive within the campus at the permissible speed limit of 20 KMPH.
14. Do not park in someone else’s allotted space - and obey the yellow markings on the floor. If parking space is not found, use the guest parking temporarily on the ramp behind A1/A2 buildings.
15. Do not use common spaces that may be available near lobby, or adjacent to your parking slots. Do not use someone else's parking space to remove your vehicle - any damage caused shall be recovered on own liability. Owners with tandem car parks are expected to remove one vehicle after the other.
16. Make sure your vehicles carry "Song of Joy" sticker provided at main security gate.
17. Do not pluck flowers or leaves in the park, educate children also about it
18. If you have a pet, allow pets to litter in designated area or carry a plastic bag to clean the litter
19. Segregate dry and wet garbage at your home as per housekeeping staff’s collection protocol (read more)
20. Movement of goods, shifting of any furniture has to be done on procuring a gate pass from the society. Rs 1500 has to be paid as shifting and housekeeping charges for the same (as resolved in SGBM dated 4th Mar 2018, vide resolution no 18).
20.a. The trucks and tempos are to be parked on the exit ramp, behind the SOJ buildings. P2 or P3 level parking is to be used for movement of any goods given that P1 lobbies are busy, have glass doors, aesthetic fixtures, low in height, furniture, and other items vulnerable to damage.
21. Advisory for any civil or carpentry work in your flat:
a. Advised timings for work are 8 AM to 2 PM – 4 PM to 8 PM , no work on Sundays
b. Workers should avoid any work that is likely to generate noise between 2-4 pm
